The Process
How LAR Coaching works
Simple, private, and effective. Your recovery journey begins with a single step.
Your path to recovery
Choose your Coach
Browse our team of specialist LAR coaches and choose someone you feel a connection with — or contact us and we'll match you personally. Every coach brings deep experience and genuine care.
Book your first session
Select your preferred session method — Zoom, Phone, or FaceTime — and let us know when works for you. We'll reply to arrange a time that suits you.
Your first session
Your Coach will take time to understand your experience, your anxiety type, and your goals. Together you'll create a personalised recovery plan based on Threat Recalibration Therapy™.
Structured recovery sessions
Your programme runs across weekly sessions, entirely self-paced. Your coach guides you through each stage — always forward-focused, always positive, always progressing.
Recovery
As you work through the programme, you build steadier responses at your own pace. Progress and outcomes vary, and your coach will review with you honestly.
Why it works
Addressing the cause, not the symptoms.
Most approaches to anxiety — counselling, CBT, medication — treat the symptoms. They help you cope, manage, and understand. But they rarely resolve the underlying cause.
The Linden Method is different. It is an educational programme that addresses the precise mechanism that creates and sustains anxiety disorder — helping you understand and work with learned threat responses through structured, practical steps.
This is not about coping strategies. It is not about revisiting the past. It is a clear, structured process, supported by a qualified practitioner. Suitability and outcomes vary from person to person.
What we don't do
No past analysis. No coping strategies.
Why LAR is Different
Not all anxiety treatments are equal
| Approach | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Counselling / Talking Therapy | Requires lengthy exploration of the past, revisiting painful memories, and searching for root causes — often for years. Can be valuable for many people. |
| CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) | Teaches coping strategies — widely used and helpful for many people. |
| Medication (SSRIs, Benzodiazepines) | Prescribed and reviewed by doctors. Never stop or change medication without medical advice. |
| General online therapy platforms | Broad therapy support — not specialised anxiety recovery. Broad, general support. |
| LAR Coaching | Structured, forward-focused coaching grounded in Threat Recalibration Therapy™ and the Human Stability Framework, with practical work between sessions. Not a diagnosis or a replacement for medical care. |
Evidence Based Recovery Practice
The Linden Method is the only structured recovery protocol delivering true Evidence Based Recovery Practice — the gold standard of recovery provisions. Developed by Charles Linden in 1996 and refined over three decades.
